Delhi fire news: A major accident was averted on the night of 13 May 2025 in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, when a fire broke out in the nurse hostel building of BM Gupta Hospital. This incident is around 8:00 pm. On the second floor of this hospital located on Arya Samaj Road, the nurse hostel and the medical records section of the third floor caused panic due to the rise in the flames. According to the information received by ABP Live, the fire was quickly controlled and no casualties were reported.

The Delhi Fire Service immediately took action and sent 11 fire tenders to the spot after getting information about the accident. After a hard work of about one and a half hours, the fire was completely extinguished around 9:25 pm and the fire department issued a message of Stop.

According to Dwarka DCP, the fire was limited to the second floor nurse hostel and the third floor records section, where there was also a dental facility. It is a matter of relief that no child or patient was present there at that time.

BM Gupta Hospital is a major multi-specialty hospital in South-West Delhi, which offers services such as maternal-shine, cardiac sciences, orthopedics and ENT with 100 beds. Despite this incident, regular services of the hospital were not affected. Initial investigation is said to be the cause of the fire in the medical records section, but a detailed investigation is on.

The readiness of the hospital administration and the fire department prevented great losses. The police have appealed to the people not to pay attention to rumors.
