Delhi government to launch maa yamuna cleanlines campaign in schools

Maa Yamuna Cleanlines Campaign: The Delhi government has decided to start “Maa Yamuna Cleanliness Campaign” in schools in the capital, taking a major initiative for the revival of the Yamuna river. This campaign has been initiated by the Minister of Water Department of Delhi Government Pravesh Sahib Singh. He has written a letter to Education Minister Ashish Sood, requesting to implement this special campaign in all government, aided and private schools in Delhi.

The main objective of this campaign is to increase sensitivity to the importance of Yamuna river in children and to connect them with the cleanliness movement. The minister said that if Yamuna is to be really revived, then it will have to create a mass movement, especially the active participation of children is necessary. Children will not only spread the message of awareness, but will also create a sensitive society for the future.

Under the “Maa Yamuna Cleanliness Campaign”, many important activities will be done from children in schools in Delhi. It will organize essay writing, painting and painting speech, debate competition, street plays, clean Yamuna pledge and awareness walks and cultural programs on annual festivals. The special thing is that all these activities will be done under the Yamuna cleanliness campaign.

On this occasion Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma said, “Yamuna is not only a river, but a lifeline of Delhi. Taking inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cleanliness campaign, we are adding children towards cleanliness and environmental protection through ‘Maa Yamuna Cleanliness Campaign’. If we educate our children about the importance of river and environment today, tomorrow they will play an important role in the creation of a clean and green India. The future is incomplete. “

The Delhi Jal Board will support the schools in collaboration with the Directorate of Education under this initiative, the necessary educational material, awareness material and other resources. Schools will be advised to include these activities in their school calendar and motivate the students to carry forward the message of cleanliness and water conservation.

The government hopes that through this campaign, millions of children of Delhi will not only become aware themselves, but will also broadcast the message of cleanliness and river conservation in their family and neighborhoods. “Maa Yamuna Cleanliness Campaign” will be an important step towards bringing a new thinking and a new change in Delhi.
