Delhi: Lawyers did not listen to CM Rekha Gupta, strike continues against LG even today

The lawyers of the Delhi District Court Bar Association have also decided to continue their strike on Wednesday (August 27). This decision has been taken after the meeting of the Coordination Committee of Bar Association. The purpose of the strike is a notification issued by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, in which the video conferencing room in police stations has been authorized to record evidence.

The lawyers have been on strike continuously since 22 August. The lawyers of Patiala House Court took out a march on the India Gate Circle before the court. The lawyers of the Rowz Avenue Court also took out a march near the Rouse Avenue Court. The lawyers say that he had met Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav, but no concrete decision has been taken so far.

Work will be completely closed in courts
It has been said on behalf of the lawyers that there was a meeting with the Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta, but there was no talk on the demands. In such a situation, it has been decided unanimously in the Bar Association that work will be closed in all the district courts of Delhi on August 27. It has also been decided that government lawyers, ED, CBI lawyers, police officers etc. will also not be allowed to appear in the court.

The circular issued by the Bar Association states that the notification issued by LG is against the public interest. Therefore, there will be protests outside every court premises, so that the public can be made aware of this wrong decision.

Over time, lawyers’ strike will be fierce
Advocate Tarun Rana, Secretary, New Delhi Bar Association, says that no concrete decision has been taken in the meetings. Therefore the strike will continue. The strike will be more fierce over time. There will be protests outside each court complex.
