Delhi-NCR has been raining continuously since last night (30 July), which continues till morning (July 31). Due to this rain, there has been relief from the humidity and heat continued for 2 days, but there has been a situation of water logging and traffic jam in many areas. As if the capital was stopped yesterday, as it was the capital.

According to the Meteorological Department, similar rainfall can continue in the capital for the next 4 to 5 days. The Safdarjung Observatory has recorded 15 mm of rain till 5:30 pm on Tuesday evening.

Water filled on roads, affected to airport

Due to continuous rains since night, areas like Shastri Bhavan, ITO, Connaught Place, Janpath, Jorbagh and Aerocity have been flooded. There is difficulty in movement due to water logging near the airport.

People are facing huge problems due to rain in Noida and surrounding areas. The Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of rain in some areas along with cloud thunderstorms.

Traffic police advisory, avoid these paths

A few hours ago, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory, which states that a carriageway has been closed due to the road sinking on Chand Cinema Road. Due to which the affected route is the road leading from Chand Cinema Road to Kalyanpuri Road. Alternative route for this: Kalyanpuri Road → Right Mud → Ghazipur Road → Trilokpuri Crossing → Right Mud → Vasundhara Road → Left Tare → Kotla Road.

Traffic is slow and policemen are present on the spot. Passengers have been advised to make plans before the journey and keep an eye on traffic police channels for updates.

How will the weather be in the coming days?

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR will be around 33–35 degrees Celsius till August 5. The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.8 degrees on Wednesday, which is 1.3 degrees below normal. The maximum temperature was 32.7 degrees, which is 1.7 degrees below normal. The next 4 to 5 days will be the period of clouds and rain, due to which the temperature will remain stable.
