Delhi police on israel PM poster: The Delhi Police has informed the Ministry of Home Affairs about putting posters on the desire of Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Chanakyapuri area of Delhi on behalf of a Western European country’s embassy employee. An official gave this information on Tuesday (June 3).
The incident came to light at around 7.30 am on May 29, when the personnel of Chanakyapuri police station saw two such posters on electric poles near Carmel Convent School and American Embassy School on Malcha Marg. There are many embassy and international institutions offices in Chanakyapuri and extreme monitoring is being done here.
Instructions issued to remove posters: Officers
In this case, a senior police officer said, “Beat staff informed senior officials and instructions were issued to remove the poster. After this, the police parties started the investigation and saw CCTV footage to find out the identity of the responsible person.
The official said, “On seeing the footage, a man wearing a blue shirt and black trousers appeared on a bicycle at around 5.30 am. He was seen putting posters on an electric pole. Further analysis revealed the investigators that he was going to a flat on Sardar Patel Marg. A team of police reached the residence and found that the person living there is an employee of the Embassy of a Western European country.
He said, “The details of the person were noted, but due to diplomatic exemption, no further action was taken. Given the sensitive nature of the case and the diplomatic status of the person concerned, the Delhi Police decided to pursue the issue.
Case being settled at the highest level
Police sources said, “A detailed report was prepared and sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which is expected to coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) to determine appropriate action.
At the same time, a source said, “The matter is being settled at the highest level. Senior officials of the New Delhi Range submitted a report to the police headquarters, which was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs later last week. ”He said that the reply is awaited by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Strict monitoring in Chanakyapuri- Delhi Police
Police have said that strict monitoring is going on in Chanakyapuri area to prevent any untoward incident. Many calls were made and messages were sent to the Delhi Police spokesperson to take feedback in this regard, but no response was received.
