An explosion took place in a Hyundai I20 car parked near the Red Fort in the country’s capital Delhi at around 7 pm on Monday (10 November 2025). 8 people died and many were injured in this blast. Information about the car used in the blast is being collected. Meanwhile, security agencies have got hold of a lot of information. They found out that the i20 car had entered Delhi from Badarpur border at 3.18 minutes. Along with this, Delhi Police is checking the entire route of the vehicle.

On the matter, North Delhi DCP Raja Banthia said, “An FIR has been registered at the Kotwali police station. FSL team and teams of other agencies are also present at the spot. All evidence and clues required for this investigation are being collected. Another officer said that vehicles parked nearby have also been affected.

Faridabad company on car keys

The investigating agencies have found the name of a Faridabad company on the keys of the explosive car. This company is located in Sector 37, Faridabad and deals in used car dealing. It has been revealed that this i20 car was sold to a person named Tariq, a resident of Pulwama. Delhi Police is now investigating how and when the car was used to bring it to Delhi. According to sources, the incidents from Faridabad to Red Fort blast may be related. Teams of Delhi Police, NIA and IB are working together from this angle.

Two names have emerged so far in the investigation

Two names have emerged so far in the investigation. Tariq (resident of Pulwama) is the same person in whose name the car was registered. An associate of Umar Mohammad Tariq, whose search has been intensified. Preliminary investigation by Delhi Police is indicating that both of them may have links with the terrorist network. There is a possibility that RDX or high-powered explosive was planted in the car.
