A tragic accident took place in Delhi’s famous Dargah Hazrat Khwaja Nizamuddin. Dargah’s Sajjadanshin Syed Mohammad Nizami died due to sudden geyser blast in the bathroom. This incident happened yesterday evening (7 February).
According to media reports, Sajjadanshin Syed Mohammad Nizami was the nephew of Khwaja Hasan Sani Nizami. The family and people of the Dargah are shocked by this accident. It is reported that due to the geyser blast there was a sudden fire and explosion in the bathroom, due to which he died on the spot.
Police engaged in investigation of the incident
Local people and Dargah administration immediately reached the spot for help and started relief work. Police and fire brigade teams reached the spot and started investigation. According to preliminary information, this accident occurred due to a technical fault, but the police is investigating it. The people and devotees of the Dargah are expressing deep grief over the demise of Sajjadanshin Syed Mohammad Nizami. Tributes and grief are also being expressed for him on social media.

The Dargah administration said that full assistance will be provided to the family of the deceased and a report will be prepared after a thorough investigation into the reasons behind the incident.
