Delhi weather news today: After dust storm and rain in Delhi, the weather has started getting clear again. According to the Meteorological Department, it is expected to be partially cloudy in Delhi on Sunday (April 13). The maximum temperature is estimated to be 37 degrees and the minimum temperature is 20 degrees Celsius.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, between April 15 to 18, strong winds will blow during the day in Delhi and surrounding cities. The maximum temperature is expected to rise from 35 to 42 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to reach 24 degrees Celsius. There is no possibility of rain during the next few days.
Relief from heat in Delhi
The maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius, a maximum temperature of 35.2 degrees above normal on Saturday, a day after a strong thunderstorm in Delhi. Relative humidity ranged between 41 percent to 78 percent.
Aya Nagar is the most rain
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi recorded 0.7 mm of rain in the last 24 hours on Saturday morning at 8:30 am. The weather center at Aya Nagar received the highest 4 mm of rain. This was followed by Pitampura 2.5 mm, Palam (2 mm) and Ridge (1.4 mm). The Safdarjung Observatory recorded 0.7 mm of rain. While Lodhi Road, Pusa and Mayur Vihar centers recorded 0.5 mm of rain.
Earlier, a sudden change in weather conditions in the national capital was seen on Friday when it rained after dust storm, which led to a huge drop in temperature at the weather centers. During the dust storm, two people, including a 10-year-old girl, died in different incidents.
Relief from pollution after thunderstorm and rain
According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality of the national capital was in the ‘medium’ category and the air quality index (AQI) was 166 at four in the evening. AQI between 0-50 is considered ‘good’, ‘satisfactory’ on 51-100, 101-200 ‘medium’, 201-300 is considered ‘bad’, 301-400 is considered ‘very poor’ and 401-500 is considered ‘serious’.
