America had made large-scale military preparations to capture Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. This operation was carried out by America’s most dangerous and secret military unit, Delta Force. By the time the night in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, was quiet on the day of the incident, the air defense system there had been completely deactivated. Even before the common people could understand anything, American commandos had reached the bedroom of President Nicolas Maduro.

Delta Force came like some invisible force and without anyone getting a clue, they took away the President of a country with them. To carry out the operation, about 150 military planes took off from the American base. Important military bases of Venezuela were targeted for about an hour. America’s Tomahawk missiles completely disabled Venezuela’s Russian S-300 air defense system. At the same time, electronic warfare planes jammed the communication system, due to which the Venezuelan army could not even contact each other.

When Delta Force landed on the ground

During this entire operation, American satellites, Reaper drones and intelligence agencies were keeping an eye on every activity. By the time the commandos of Delta Force landed on the ground, the combat was almost over. The commandos entered Venezuela using MH-60 Black Hawk and MH-47 Chinook helicopters and took Maduro into custody with very precise action. The surprising thing was that no American soldier suffered even a scratch.

Months of planning, action in seconds

American General Dan Kane, commanding this operation, said that this mission was based on decades of experience, in which air, land, sea and space operations were coordinated. Intelligence agencies had studied Maduro’s daily routine and security arrangements for months. This was the reason that when the door of his room was broken, there was no way of escape left.

What is Delta Force, which is called The Unit?

The official name of Delta Force is 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta. This unit is known for America’s most risky and sensitive missions. It was formed in 1977 by Colonel Charlie Beckwith, who prepared this force on the model of Britain’s SAS. For a long time it was simply called The Unit.

Commandos undergo extremely rigorous training

Joining Delta Force is not easy. The selection process is so difficult that most of the soldiers drop out midway. Commandos undergo several weeks of difficult navigation marches, walking up to 40 miles with heavy loads, and then months of special operator training. In this training, use of advanced weapons, secret operations and high-risk missions are taught.

The world got the first glimpse from Black Hawk Down

Delta Force first came into the world’s attention in 1993 during the Mogadishu operation in Somalia. This mission later became famous by the name of Black Hawk Down. In this operation, Delta Force showed extraordinary courage and rescued the surrounded soldiers and maintained the mission despite heavy losses.

Venezuela operation again proved its strength

Maduro’s arrest in Venezuela once again showed why Delta Force is considered America’s most dangerous and reliable unit. This operation was not just a military action, but also a demonstration of America’s strategic, technical and intelligence strength.
