Opposition parties led by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha announced to take out a march from Parliament House to the Election Commission office, but they were allowed to go only a short distance and after that the leaders involved in the march were taken into custody. Shashi Tharoor, who is involved in this march, has also questioned the credibility of the Election Commission.
Shashi Tharoor said, ‘As long as there is doubt about the fairness of elections in the minds of people, it will continue to harm the credibility of the Election Commission. As soon as these doubts are overcome, the credibility of the Commission and its credibility will return. While giving advice to the Election Commission, the senior leader of the Congress said that its interest is in solving these questions.

Tharoor said that this issue is quite simple for me. If Rahul Gandhi has raised some serious questions, then it is necessary to give serious answers to him. He said that the Election Commission has not only the responsibility towards the country, but it is also the accountability of the Commission that there should be no doubt in the minds of the people regarding the credibility of elections.
