The year 2025 is about to end and the world is going to welcome 2026. In such a situation, security arrangements have been tightened for the New Year celebrations in Mumbai also. DCP Akbar Pathan said that on the occasion of arrival of New Year on 31 December 2025, along with religious programs, various programs are being organized in important public places, hotels and shopping malls in Mumbai metropolis.
In which a large number of citizens will welcome the new year with enthusiasm and joy. Mumbai Police has also made a special plan for the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) to prevent any kind of incident on New Year.
Security arrangements will be like this
Pathan said that in this background, extensive security arrangements have been made under the guidance of Brihanmumbai Police Commissioner to maintain law and order in the city during the New Year. A special arrangement plan has been prepared under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Mumbai and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Mumbai, in which many teams and home guards will be deployed at all the crowded places on the New Year.
Special management of the department to control traffic in the city
Pathan further said that 10 Additional Commissioners of Police, 38 Deputy Commissioners of Police, 61 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 2,790 police officers and 14,200 police personnel have been deployed by the Mumbai Police Force in coordination with the Traffic Department to ensure that the citizens celebrate the New Year in a safe, peaceful and uninterrupted manner.
So that the traffic in the city remains under control during the New Year and no incidents occur. Apart from this, SRPF platoons, QRT teams, BDDS teams, RCP platoons and home guards have also been deployed at important and sensitive places in the city. The purpose of this strong arrangement made by Mumbai Police is to ensure the safety of the citizens and conduct the New Year celebrations peacefully.
