Kapurthala Police has further strengthened the case by adding rape charges against the singer. According to reports, a case was registered against Hasan Manak based on the complaint of an NRI woman.

The woman said in her statement that Manak gained her trust by becoming a big celebrity and then raped her. Based on the statement, the police decided to add other serious charges including Section 376 (rape) in the case. The NRI woman alleges that Manak claims to be a famous singer and a high-profile celebrity. Despite being married, he repeatedly forced her to have physical relations with him.
Police arrested in fraud case
It is worth noting that Kapurthala Police had arrested Hasan Manak on November 13 in the fraud case registered earlier. Manak is accused of extorting lakhs of rupees from an NRI woman. During the investigation of this case, when the woman mentioned rape in her statement, the police considered it serious and added rape-related sections of the IPC.

Hasan Manak is a Punjabi singer, who is mainly known for Punjabi folk music and traditional singing. The biggest aspect of his identity is his family background. Hasan Manak is the son of Punjabi music legend and daughter of Kuldeep Manak, known as the “King of Buds”.
