Comedian and actor Rajpal Yadav is in the news these days regarding his check bounce and loan case. Many people from the film industry have come forward to help him but in the meantime the matter has become more complicated. Kamal R Khan (KRK) has raised many questions regarding this case by posting on social media, which has intensified the debate.
KRK’s big claim
KRK wrote on social media platform X that this case is not only against Rajpal Yadav but also against his wife. He raised the question that if the case is against both of them then why is the wife not in jail? Also, KRK claimed that Rajpal Yadav has property worth about Rs 50 crore, yet he is avoiding repaying the loan.

Friend paid 1.50 crores?
According to Kamal R Khan, one of his friends has paid Rs 1.50 crore of Rajpal Yadav’s share. That’s why his wife is out of jail. He also said that Rajpal took loans from many Bollywood people and has not returned them. KRK claimed that some time ago Rajpal was going to buy the apartment of one of his friends and his acquaintances say that he has assets worth crores. Even his elder brother is saying the same thing.

What is the whole matter?
This case is of the year 2010 when Rajpal Yadav had taken a loan of about Rs 5 crore for his directorial debut film ‘Ata Pata Lapata’. The film flopped at the box office and the loan could not be returned. Including interest and penalty, the amount has reached around Rs 9 crore. Many checks given by Rajpal and his wife have bounced. After which many cases have been registered against him.
Court’s decision and industry’s support
In the year 2018, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to 6 months imprisonment. Delhi High Court gave time for settlement several times but due to non-payment, order to surrender was given in February 2026. Rajpal Yadav reached Tihar Jail on 5 February. In this difficult time, many celebs like Sonu Sood, Indrajeet and producer Inderjeet Singh have come forward for financial help.
