The story of the generosity of Dev Anand

After such difficult days, he received a fee of Rs 400 for his first film Hum Ek Hain. It was not just money for him, but a new ray of hope.
When he was returning after finishing his shooting, he saw a very old and weak beggar who was suffering from hunger. Seeing him, Dev Anand remembered the days of his struggle. Without thinking anything, he took out the entire income from his pocket and put it in the hands of that beggar.
Why did Dev Anand give full money to the beggar
When one of his friends came to know about this, he was surprised. He asked Dev Anand, “Why did you give your first earnings like this? You were in dire need of it!”
To this, Dev Anand smiled and replied, “I will earn money again, but cannot bear the pain of seeing someone suffering from hunger again.”
This story shows that deep sympathy and big heart of Dev Anand, which made him not only a great artist, but also a great person. He adopted the same rule throughout his life that in life more humanity matters more than money and fame, as he has also told in his autobiography ‘Romance with Life’.
