According to tradition, on this day Tulsi ji is adorned and covered with a ‘chunri’, he is circumambulated and the feet of Lord Vishnu are decorated by filling the courtyard with ‘Rouli’. After worshiping at night, God is woken up in the morning by blowing the conch bell and the story is heard.
