Devi bus service in delhi: The BJP -led Delhi government is going to start a new bus service soon to give convenience to the people of Delhi. Officials of the Transport Department said that on April 22, the Delhi government will start its Mohalla electric bus service under the banner of Delhi Electrical Vehicle Interzanch (Devi). Under this bus service, initially 9 meters long 255 buses will be installed in service for common citizens.
According to Delhi Transport Department officials, the routes of most buses have been fixed. These buses will be planted on a route where big buses cannot be used. These buses will serve their services on small routes connecting internal roads to the main road. Later, according to the demand and buses will be added to different routes.
Buses will meet these depots
In the initial phase, these buses will be operated from Ghazipur, Nangloi and East Vinod Nagar depots. These buses will mainly work as feeder buses for major routes and metro stations of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). According to officials, these buses being started under the banner of Devi will decide at least 12 km route. Officials say that at least 100 buses are expected to be parked at each depot.
Seats will be reserved for women
These electric buses being launched by the Delhi government will have 23 seats, in which 6 seats will be reserved for women. There will be a place to stand for 13 passengers. These buses can travel up to 200 kilometers on a 45 -minute charge. According to officials, these buses are equipped with six battery packs with 196 kW capacity.
There will be so much fare
The fare of buses operated under Devi bus service will be quite affordable. In this, tickets of 10, 15, 20 and 25 rupees will be proposed. The bus journey will be free for women, she can travel using pink tickets.
