Large health facility has started for the treatment of heart patients in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the new cardiology wing built at a cost of Rs 105 crore at King George Medical University (KGMU) on Monday (July 14). This advanced medical unit will not only provide better treatment to the patients, but the pressure of treatment on Lari-SGPGI and other big medical organizations will also be reduced.

Patients will not have to wait

Till now, patients had to wait a long time due to limited resources for the treatment of heart patient in Lucknow or they were referred to other institutions. Lari cardiology had only 84 beds, which was full of time. Now the total capacity of 92 new ICCU beds has been added to 176 beds. This will make the recruitment process easier and serious patients will get timely treatment.

Wing equipped with advanced technology

The new cardiology wing is fully equipped with Modern Medical Technology. Facilities like two state-off-the-art caath lab, high and echocardiography system, six three-D eco machines, 96 bed side monitors, 120 syringes infusion pumps, 25 Temporary pacemakers, Osotomy Machine and TMT (Tradmil Test) machine have been provided. This will allow the identification and treatment of the heart patient to be more accurate and effective than before.

All facilities under the same roof

Now patients will not have to wander in different departments for heart examination, angiography, angioplasty and other complex procedures. This wing will serve as a one-stop center, where patients will get complete cardiovascular services at one place.

Patients across the state will benefit

KGMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Sonia Nityanand told that the new wing will benefit patients from Lucknow as well as the state. Till now SGPGI, Lohia Institute, Lari Cardiology and CTVS wing were very pressure on heart patient. Due to the limited beds, many patients were referred, but with the start of this wing, patients will get timely treatment and there will be a huge reduction in the waiting list.

CM Yogi told Future Plan

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state government is continuously working to equip Uttar Pradesh with good health facilities. He described this new wing as a model unit for other major medical institutions of the state and indicated that similar facilities will be developed in other medical colleges. He said that the new cardiology wing is not only technically advanced, but will also give a new direction to the medical field of Uttar Pradesh. It is our endeavor that every citizen of the state should get accessible and world class treatment on time.
