Bangladesh Air Force Flight Lieutenant Taukir Islam Sagar died in the Dhaka plane crash. He was a young and promising pilot, who completed several hours of training flight. On Monday, his training aircraft collided with the F-7 school building, causing his life.
Travel from cadet to flight lieutenant
Tauqir Islam was a member of the 76th BAFA course of Sagar Bangladesh Air Force and was posted in the 35th squadron. He completed his first 100 flight hours on the PT-6 aircraft as a cadet, which is an important part of every pilot training.
Service was also given in 15th squadron
After training, he also served in the 15th squadron, where he gained a flying experience of about 60 hours. This experience was including him among the advance row pilots of Bangladesh Air Force.
Sacrifice for the country at a young age
Tauqir Islam Sagar was not only an emerging officer of the Air Force, but the security and technical future of the country depends on young pilots like him. His death is considered to be a major loss for Bangladesh Air Force.
How did the accident happen?
On Monday afternoon, Tauqir Sagar was on a Chinese F-7 BGI aircraft, which some time after the takeoff crashed on the Milestone School and College building in Uttara, Dhaka, Dhaka. The aircraft caught fire and Sagar was seriously injured. He later died in ICU.
Tribute to the nation
After his death, people on social media are paying tribute to him as young hero and true patriot. Many people have written emotional posts saluting him and saluted their passion. ISPR (Inter Services Public Relations) also saluted his contribution and said that he was fully dedicated to his work.
