Police has taken major action against those trying to spoil the atmosphere during Ram Navami in Baliapur police station area of Dhanbad district. Police have arrested 18 named accused on charges of spreading disturbance, while the search for the remaining accused is going on.
Parade of accused was organized on the road
The arrested accused were paraded on foot by the police in Balliapur market and Bhikrajpur area. During this, the accused were paraded on the streets in the presence of the police, so that a clear message could be sent among the people that those who break the law will be dealt with strictly. Local people also saw this action and called this initiative of the police necessary for law and order.
The purpose of this police action is not only to arrest but also to create fear of law in the society. Officials say that those who indulge in any kind of hooliganism or unrest in the name of festivals will not be spared. Many accused have been sent directly to jail and raids are being conducted continuously to arrest the rest.
More than 40 named, action continues
Giving information about the case, City SP Ritwik Srivastava said that more than 40 people have been named in this incident. So far 18 accused have been arrested and sent to jail.
Police teams are continuously conducting raids to arrest the remaining accused. He said that no accused will be spared and strict action will be taken against all. Police is alert to maintain peace in the area.
According to the police, now the situation in the area is completely under control and the atmosphere has become peaceful. The administration is continuously monitoring so that no untoward incident happens in future. The officials have clearly said that strict action will continue against those who try to disturb peace during festivals.
