Meanwhile, a new controversy has arisen regarding the film. Actually, the makers of ‘Raanjhanaa’ have filed a case against the team of ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ regarding a scene. In which he has demanded compensation, accusing him of stealing a scene from the film.

what is the matter
In fact, recently the production company of ‘Raanjhanaa’, Eros International Media Limited, signed a contract with film producer Anand L. A case has been filed in the Bombay High Court against Rai and Color Yellow Media Entertainment LLP. The company has alleged that they used the popularity of the 2013 hit film ‘Raanjhanaa’ to promote ‘Tere Ishq Mein’. Eros has claimed that the film was promoted as a sequel to ‘Raanjhanaa’ without permission. In lieu of this, the company has demanded compensation of Rs 84 crore.

Raanjhana’s rights
The company has claimed that all the rights of ‘Raanjhanaa’, including characters, trademarks and sequel rights, are with it. The company also said that phrases like ‘Raanjhana Ki Duniya Se’ have been used in the teaser of ‘Tere Ishq Mein’. In the complaint, objection has also been raised on the similar character of Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub in both the films.

It has been said in this complaint that ‘Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub has played the character of Murari in both the films, hence the company has accused of copying this character also. Eros has also alleged that Dhanush’s character Shankar in ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ is very similar to Kundan in ‘Raanjhanaa’. Not only this, many of the dialogues match Dhanush’s Kundan character. The company says that it had also sent a notice to ban the film in July 2025.
