Dhari Devi, the protector goddess of the state of Uttarakhand, is a symbol of divine and spiritual power.

Dhari Devi is a devotional idol in the form of the upper torso of Maa Kali, showing both fierce and compassionate expressions. Unlike most temples, the idol of the Mother Goddess is installed in an open environment, which shows the immense power of the Goddess and her watch over the earth. According to beliefs, the form of the goddess changes slightly throughout the day, in the morning she appears as a maiden, in the afternoon as a woman and in the evening as a fierce warrior.
