Hema Malini wanted to live with married Dharmendra

At the same time, Dharmendra wanted to adopt Hema Malini as his own, but did not want to divorce Prakash Kaur. But, according to the Hindu Marriage Act, Dharmendra could not marry again. Then both of them found a way out and converted to Islam on 21 August 1979. Dharmendra changed his name to Dilawar Khan and Hema Malini became Ayesha B.
The controversy did not affect the relationship between Hema and Dharmendra
After converting to Muslim religion, Hema Malini and Dharmendra got married. During that time both of them had hidden the matter of their marriage. But, when this news came out, there was a lot of uproar. At that time, there was a lot of controversy regarding the relationship between Dharmendra and Hema Malini. However, both of them did not let this controversy affect their relationship at all.
A few months after this marriage, the couple got married as per Hindu customs on 2 May 1980. The biggest feature of Dharmendra and Hema’s love was that no one interfered in anyone’s life. No to Hema Dharmendra never had any problem with his first wife Prakash Kaur nor did Prakash Kaur have any problem with Hema. Even today, Hema Malini lives separately from Dharmendra’s first family. But, Dharmendra also fulfilled his responsibilities well.
