Bollywood actor Dharmendra died on 24 November at the age of 89. Fans are very saddened by the demise of Dharmendra. From celebs to fans, everyone is remembering their time together. The special thing is that Dharmendra was still active in the world of acting. His last film is going to be released in theaters next month. Director Sriram Raghavan had also worked with Dharmendra. He has narrated an anecdote about the film Johnny Gaddaar. In which he has told how Dharmendra had got his death scene changed on the set.
According to the report of News 18, in the interval of the film Johnny Gaddaar, Neil Nitin Mukesh kills Dharmendra’s character by stabbing him with a knife, but on the day of the shoot, when Dharmendra saw the knife in Sriram Raghavan’s hand, he immediately raised questions.
The death scene was changed
Shriram Raghavan said- ‘On the day of the shoot, I was sitting with a knife. Dharamji looked at me and asked – what is this?, I told that this is the knife with which Neil Nitin Mukesh will kill you. After that he said show me this. After looking at it thoroughly, Dharmendra gave a point with which no one could argue. He said- ‘It is fine but, I will die from this but it will take 15-20 minutes for me to die from this and in that time I will kill her because I am Dharmendra so I will kill her first.’
Sriram further said – ‘He went straight to his DOP, repeated the line, and the cinematographer agreed that the knife scene would not look right. The team stopped shooting for half an hour, called for a gun, and changed the scene. This version appeared in the final cut and is now considered one of the sharpest moments of the film.
