Dharmendra Death News: Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra breathed his last today. He was ill for a long time. A few days ago, he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after complaining of difficulty in breathing. 89 year old Dharmendra was under the strict supervision of doctors for the last few days and was currently admitted in the ICU. However, he was discharged from the hospital a few days ago. Let us tell you which disease veteran actor Dharmendra was suffering from.
Which disease was Dharmendra suffering from?
According to reports, Dharmendra initially went to the hospital just for a general checkup, but after the examination the doctors thought it better to admit him. An employee of Breach Candy Hospital said that Dharmendra was having trouble breathing, so he was kept in the ICU. When asked about his condition, the hospital said that there was no serious concern. His heart rate is around 70, blood pressure is around 140/80 and urine output is also absolutely normal. As a precaution, doctors had advised to keep him under observation for a few days. Meanwhile, news of his death came, however, his daughter denied it and he was later discharged.
How serious was the problem of breathlessness?
At the age of 89, his lungs and heart were no longer as strong as before. For this reason, even with slight fatigue or lack of oxygen, he would face difficulty in breathing. Many times this also happened when there was stagnation of water in the body, there was a mild infection in the lungs or the heartbeats did not work normally. Generally, shortness of breath for an elderly person due to fatigue or change in weather is not considered very serious. But in Dharmendra’s case, this problem started occurring suddenly and repeatedly, which could be a sign of some serious disease related to heart, lungs or blood circulation.

Dharmendra had cataract surgery in April this year. He made a very quick recovery after the operation and even at this stage of his age, he tried to remain active in both personal life and work. Talking about the work front, Dharmendra was recently seen in Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024), in which Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon were in the lead roles. Apart from this, he was also going to appear in Shriram Raghavan’s film Ikkis.
