In an interview to ANI, Dharmendra praised the romance in the film beautifully and told how the emotional meaning is really hidden in this scene. Directed by Karan Johar, the 2023 film is a fun blend of comedy and love. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in Rocky and Rani. The story is on his different personality. Then they are based on how they choose to live with each other’s families for the first three months to get married.
Dharmendra described it as “Esthetic” and insisted that “there is no age for romance.”

Recalling the conversation with his co-star Ranveer Singh in a funny manner, the veteran star said, “I said to Ranveer, in the love story of Ranveer, Rocky and Rani, you have done a lot of kisses, and only one of my kiss shook people.” He further said, “In a way, he (the character of Dharmendra in Rocky and Rani’s love story) was like Devdas, the Devdas who wanders drunk with alcohol, does not remember anything, and then he dies … it is sad, and it was a good story.”
‘Rocky and Rani’s love story’ reflects complex dynamics between families and cultures. Rocky is a young man with a rich Punjabi family. At the same time, Rani is an ambitious Bengali news anchor who falls in love despite his deep differences. Apart from Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the film has many best support actors including Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Parrot Roy Chaudhary and Dharmendra.
