Dhurandhar is making waves at the box office. The film has earned more than Rs 1200 crore worldwide. But the film has been banned in the Middle East. The film is also suffering losses due to this. Now the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA), which consists of filmmakers from different film industries of India, has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has requested PM Modi to intervene in this.

IMPPA appealed to PM Modi and the Central Government to intervene in this matter and help in removing the ban. IMPPA President Abhay Sinha signed the letter.

It was written in the letter, ‘We request you to intervene in the matter of unilateral and unnecessary ban on the film ‘Dhurandhar’ in UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Our member producer has made this film. It has been released after getting certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). This film has emerged as one of the biggest hit films of Indian cinema.

He wrote, ‘We, as representatives of IMPPA, the largest and oldest producers association, request you with folded hands. Please intervene in this matter. UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia are friendly countries of India. We do regular business with them in many sectors. We request that the Government of India should discuss this matter with the concerned authorities of these countries. Make sure that freedom of expression is respected and the ban is lifted.

The film has been directed by Aditya Dhar. This film has stars like Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal. Sara Arjun is in the female lead in the film. The film is being liked a lot.
