But director Aditya Dhar had made it clear that this film is a fictional spy thriller which takes inspiration from real life events, but it is not a biopic of Major Sharma. The film’s connection to real events is based on major inspiration from covert operations and geopolitical conflicts, rather than the story of an individual’s life.
Big relief also received from CBFC
CBFC has made it clear that ‘Dhurandhar’ is a fictional story. The film has nothing to do with the life of Major Mohit Sharma. The board also said that there is no need to send the film to the Indian Army before its release.

Recently, the parents of Ashok Chakra winner martyr Major Mohit Sharma had objected to the release of the film. He alleged that the film is based on his son and the makers have not taken permission from the family or the army.
