These days an edited video is going viral on social media, in which it is being falsely claimed that the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indian Army, Lt. General Rahul R.K. Singh has admitted that India has lost the S-400 air defense system due to China’s missiles.
However, PIB Fact Check has described this claim as completely fake and misleading. The video has been digitally manipulated (modified) and the clip shown in it is introduced in the wrong context. This video is actually a conference organized by FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry on 4 July 2025.
Used to spread false information by editing clips
In this event, Lieutenant General Rahul R. Singh gave an address. He did not talk about the destruction of the S-400 system or being attacked by China anywhere in his speech. The clip that is going viral has been used to spread false information.
