Did Team India get prize money?
Team India has not received any prize money for winning the T20 series against Australia. As per rules, there is no provision of prize money for winning any bilateral series. Since bilateral series are not organized by a global governing body like ICC or ACC. The India vs Australia series was organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Board of Control for Cricket in Australia (CA).
If any series is being organized in Australia, then the responsibility of hosting will be on the Australian Cricket Board. India has not won a T20 series by going to Australia. ICC has not made any such rule that there should be prize money in bilateral series.
Players get match fees
On winning any bilateral series, a trophy is given to the winning team. A trophy is given to the player who becomes the Player of the Series.
