Digital media growth and earning was more than television industry in 2024 surges to 80200 Crore

Digital media growth: The media and entertainment industry of the country is moving fast. Digital media also has a big contribution in this. Alam is that in the last one year, digital media has generated the most revenue by beating television. In the year 2024, the valuation of Indian media and entertainment (M&E) sector has reached 3.3 percent to Rs 2.5 lakh crore ($ 29.4 billion). There was a 32 percent part of digital media in Total Revenue. This shows that with the changing times, there has been a big change in consumer behavior and business strategy.

This sector of the country will continue to move continuously

According to this report in the name of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) -EY Shape the Future, this sector will move even further in 2025. Its valuation is expected to reach Rs 2,700 billion (31.6 billion) with an increase of 7.2 percent. The growth of this sector will continue continuously. By 2027, its market value can reach Rs 3,100 billion ($ 36.1 billion). There will be mainly digital platforms and other digital formats behind this.

A lot of money is also coming from advertising

Digital advertising has also seen a wonderful jump, which has reached Rs 70,000 crore (US $ 8.2 billion). Similarly, its share in the income from advertisements is 55 percent. The biggest increase is e-commerce advertisement (50 percent) and social media advertisement (11 percent). Meanwhile, the digital subscription revenue has also reached Rs 10,200 crore (US $ 1.2 billion) with a gain of 15 percent. Paid video subscription in 47 million houses of the country has increased to 111 million. Streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Geiographs took advantage of this trend.
