Bcci Fine on Digvesh Singh Rathi and Abhishek Sharma: In the 61st match of IPL 2025 played at Ekana Cricket Stadium, there was a sharp debate between Abhishek Sharma and Digvesh Singh Rathi. Both the players were in the forefront and if the umpire and other fellow players did not stop them, then the matter could have moved even further. The fight took place when Digvesh Singh celebrated his notebook after dismissing Abhishek Sharma on the third ball of the 8th over. Now the BCCI has punished both the players. Digvesh has been given such a punishment which has not been given to any player this season yet.
The statement released by the IPL told that, “Lucknow Super Giants bowler Digvesh Singh has been fined on Monday 50 percent of the match fee for violation of IPL Conduct during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekan Cricket Stadium of Lucknow.
This was Digvesh Singh Rathi’s third level 1 offense under Article 2.5 in IPL 2025 and hence, he earned 2 demerit marks. In addition, he earned 3 demerit marks earlier. A demerit point against Punjab Kings on April 01, 2025 and two demerit marks against Mumbai Indians on April 04, 2025.
Digvesh Singh banned 1 match
Now this season, he has 5 demerit points in his account, so he will be banned a match. Digvesh will no longer be able to play in the next match of Lucknow Super Giants. The next match of LSG is against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on May 22, 2025.

Abhishek Sharma was also fined
Sunrisers Hyderabad all -rounder Abhishek Sharma has also been fined 25 percent of the match fee for violation of the IPL code of conduct. This season, it was Abhishek’s first level 1 crime under Article 2.6 and hence, he has earned a demerit point. For violations of the Code of Conduct, the decision of the match referee is final and binding.
