Whenever a child is born in a house, diapers are definitely there in the shopping list for that new born child. In today’s time, wearing diapers to small children has become necessary for every parent, especially when there is a lot of work at home or diapers are needed during travel. But along with this, a fear has also increased among the parents. Does wearing a diaper for a long time really have a bad effect on the child’s kidneys? This question and the wrong information related to it are going viral on all social media platforms, after hearing or reading which every parent is worried as to what is the truth of this claim.
Do diapers really harm baby’s kidneys?
Recently, this claim going viral on social media platforms states that wearing diapers has an adverse effect on the kidneys of the child. This claim is absolutely false. According to doctors, the kidney is located deep inside our body, in front of which there is a layer of muscles. If we wear a diaper or any other cloth on the child, it cannot reach the kidneys under any circumstances. Therefore this claim is completely baseless.
How can kidneys get damaged?
Diaper Rash: Having a wet diaper for a long time can make the baby’s skin red, irritated and cause skin damage. But this is a skin problem, not a kidney problem.
Urinary tract infection (UTI): An infection caused by bacteria in the urinary tract, most commonly affecting the bladder. This is a completely bacteria based infection and its symptoms also change according to age in children.
