The change in weather affects the zinc in the brass. It passes through all chemical reactions, but copper does not rust. Even after years of use, you will be seen in copper as soon as you get spots. Copper does not react even with extreme strong acids.
Why doesn’t it take war?
14 carat gold with low purity does not rust in any gold jewelery. Jewelry can be old, but they do not have any rust. A yellow-green layer may accumulate on gold jewelery kept without used for a long time, but it does not rust. Even gold jewelery and coins buried under the soil for centuries do not rust. Gold atoms are very stable, which is why the chemical composition of pure gold does not change even in air, water and excessive temperatures. Due to this stability, gold is used in electronic devices, especially in circuit boards.
