Dominican nightclub disaster: A major accident occurred on Tuesday (April 8) in the Dominican Republic. The roof of a nightclub suddenly fell in the capital Santo Domingo, killing about 79 people and injured more than 160 people.
500 to 1000 people were present in the club at the time of the accident. As soon as the roof fell, there was chaos. Many people were buried under the rubble, which are still being searched. People are still trapped in debris

He said, “We will keep trying until we take out every person safely.” Mendez said that the death of 44 people has been confirmed so far. Singer Ruby Perez also died
The accident occurred when the famous Merngue singer Ruby was performing in the Perez Nichchlb. His manager Enric Polyno said that the concert started at around 12 pm on Monday and Tuesday night and the roof of the nightclub collapsed after about an hour. Singer Ruby Perez also died in this accident. Manager Polyno said, “All this happened suddenly. At first it seemed that the earthquake had occurred. I went to one corner and saved my life.” After the accident, polyo’s shirt was soaked with blood.
President expressed grief over the accident
Dominican Republic President Louis Abinadar has expressed deep grief over the nightclub accident. He wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ (first Twitter), “We have been very sad due to the incident in Jet Set Nichclub. We have been keeping an eye on this incident every minute since the beginning.”
The President said that all the rescue agencies are working hard so that the victims can get help as soon as possible. Abinadar himself reached the accident site, he met the people present there and talked to the people looking for their loved ones. However, he did not talk to the media. At the moment it is not clear why the roof of the nightclub fell. Investigation is going on.
