India on Wednesday said that it was talking to the US to finalize a mutually beneficial bilateral trade agreement (BTA) with the US, amidst 26 percent additional fees in the US. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal made this comment on the implementation of US fee measures. He emphasized the strong trade and economic relations between the two countries and hoped that the talks on BTA would be successful. He said that the government is assessing the impacts of US counter -duty and is talking to stakeholders.
The US has announced the imposition of counter custody on many countries including India. In February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump agreed to talk on the first phase of the trade agreement by September-October this year.

US President Donald Trump has claimed that leaders around the world are desperate to make a trade agreement with the US and are willing to do anything to compromise on the fee announcement. Trump said, “I am telling you, these countries are contacting us. Rubbing my nose in front of me. ”
Trump has imposed a variety of charges on various countries in the last few days, which has created a situation of global trade war. He said, “They are desperate to compromise. They are saying, ‘Please, sir, compromise us, I will do anything for this sir.’ ‘
Many new fees announced by Trump came into effect from Wednesday morning. He has also talked about imposing additional duty on import of medicines.

‘Fox News’ quoted Trump as saying, “We are going to charge medicines and once we do so, they will come back to our country, because we are big markets.”
The US President said, “We are going to announce a big fee on medicines very soon. When they hear about it, they will get away from China. They will leave other places, because they have to be sold – most of their products are sold here. ”
