Donald Trump Threts to Harvard: President Donald Trump has threatened Harvard University on Tuesday (April 15, 2025) that he would be excluded from the tax exemption by considering it as a political institution. Donald Trump said that if the university does not accept their demands, then it has no right to keep tax -free status and should be taxed as a political unit. The Trump administration had told Harvard that it should change its way of operation, including the rights of the students.

What did Donald Trump say?

In the post on his social network Truth, the US President said that the tax-free situation is completely dependent on working in public interest. He said that if Harvard University continues to promote politics, ideological and terrorism -backed ideas, then its tax exemption will be abolished.

On April 3, the Trump administration issued a directive to Harvard that the university would have to close its diversity, equity and inclusion offices. Apart from this, changes will also have to be made in your recruitment and admission processes. Also, students from abroad will have to help in immigration screening.

Donald Trump stopped Harvard’s funding

Earlier, Harvard President Alan Garber had written a letter to the students and teachers and decided to oppose the government’s instructions. He said that the university will not compromise on its freedom or its constitutional rights. Reacting to this, to deal with the anti-Jewish spirit, the Trump administration announced to stop $ 2.2 billion in a statement and ban $ 60 million in government contracts.
