Us department of defense pentagon: The United States Defense Department has banned the movement of journalists in Pentagon after leaking classified information on social media during the operation against Huti rebels. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth himself has issued a notification in this regard. He has clearly said that there is a no-entry of journalists on the floor on which he has an office.

According to the new guidelines of the US Department of Defense, members (journalists) of the Pentagon Press Corps (journalists) will have to guarantee in writing to protect the Classified Intelligence Information (CNSI) related to the National Security.

Under the new notification of the US Department of Defense, journalists and media persons are completely forbidden to go between the e-ring corridor 8 and 9 on the third floor of the Pentagon. Apart from this, the public affairs assistant of the Defense Secretary, as well as journalists, can enter the office of Pete Hegseth.

It is noteworthy that for the last several years, special yellow i-cards have been made for selected journalists who have covered defense beat in the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense of India, South Block. Through this yellow card, media persons can go to the Public Relations (PR) office associated with the Ministry of Defense. Apart from the office related office, all the floor of South Block are out of bounds for journalists.
