RO Khanna Target Donald Trump: US MP Roe Khanna accused President Donald Trump of imposing 50 percent tariff on India’s goods, saying that Trump’s ego should harm strategic relations with India.

US MP Roe Khanna also suggested that Trump’s decision could be affected by India not being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, while Pakistan did so.

’30 years of hard work threatened’

Khanna, who is the co -president of the Democrat and India Cocks, accused Trump of weakening the 30 -year bilateral task of strengthening American Indian relations. He said, “India has been imposed 50 percent tariff, which is the highest on any other country other than Brazil. It is more than the tariff imposed on China. It is damaging India’s leather and textile exports and is also affecting exports to the makers of America and our American manufacturers and our India. It is pushing India towards China and Russia.”

Target on Trump

Khanna said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not nominate Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, while Pakistan did so. Due to this, Trump increased the tariff. He said, “We cannot allow Trump’s ego to harm the strategic relations with India. This relationship is very important for America.”

Trade talks between India and America continue

This decision of Trump has made America’s relations stressful. Indian officials said that both countries are in touch on business related matters and India is open to finalize bilateral trade agreement. However, Trump’s chief colleagues have repeatedly accused India of taking advantage of buying oil from Russia.

Significantly, according to The New York Times report, Trump took credit for ending the military struggle between India and Pakistan in May and sought support from Prime Minister Modi in June for the Nobel Peace Prize. Modi clarified that America had no hand in it and both countries had solved this issue directly.
