‘Don’t promote terrorism in our neighbourhood’, S Jaishankar made the Foreign Minister of Poland sit in front of him and tell him the truth.

During a meeting with Poland’s Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in Delhi, S. Jaishankar has expressed strong objection to his stance on terrorism. On the statement of Polish Foreign Minister supporting Pakistan, S Jaishankar bluntly said that Poland should show zero tolerance towards terrorism. During this, he also expressed his views regarding the Russia-Ukraine war.

‘Poland should not help in promoting terrorist infrastructure’

India asked Radoslaw Sikorski not to help promote terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, ‘Recently in New York and Paris, I have openly shared my views on the Ukraine conflict and its consequences. While doing so, I have repeatedly stressed that selectively targeting India is wrong and unjust, I am saying the same again today. You are not unfamiliar with this region and are familiar with the age-old problem of cross-border terrorism.

What did Poland’s Foreign Minister say about terrorism?

S. Agreeing with Jaishankar, Poland’s Foreign Minister Sikorski said, ‘I completely agree with you on the need to combat cross-border terrorism. As you may have heard, Poland has recently been the victim of both arson and state-sponsored terrorism, when a Polish railway line was blown up. However, there were no casualties due to the failure of the terrorists.

Poland had mentioned Kashmir in its joint statement with Pakistan.

Poland Foreign Minister had mentioned Kashmir in the joint statement issued with Pakistan in October 2025. The statement said, ‘Pakistan presented its stand on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and Poland presented its stand on the Ukraine war. India had then condemned it and now raised this issue with the Foreign Minister of Palestine.

Poland supported India’s stance on tariffs

Poland supported the statement of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in which he had said that America is targeting specific countries through tariffs. Radoslaw Sikorski said, I completely agree with your statement about targeting selected countries through tariffs. We fear that this is leading to turmoil in global trade.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Poland said that Europe hopes that India will maintain engagement with the region. He said, ‘We have seen that you are setting up embassies everywhere in Europe, which means that you are serious about relations with the EU.’
