Jharkhand Home Defense Corps has released the official notification for recruitment to 737 Home Guard posts. The application process for these posts will start from 18 November 2025 and candidates will be able to apply till 21 December 2025. This opportunity is especially for those youth who want to start their career by serving the state.
Becoming a Jharkhand Home Guard is not just a job but a symbol of responsibility and pride. This is a great opportunity for those youth who want to play their role in the security and cooperation of the society. To apply for these posts, the minimum age of the candidate has been kept at 19 years and maximum age at 40 years. Whereas candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
What should be the educational qualification?
According to qualification the posts are divided into two parts. For Rural Home Guard, the candidate must have passed class 7th. For Urban Home Guard, the candidate must have passed class 10th.
How will the selection be done?
The selection process will be completely transparent and in three stages. The fitness and strength of the candidate will be tested in the Physical Test. Questions in Hindi Writing Ability Test will be of class 7th or 10th level, which will test the writing and comprehension ability of the candidate. Candidates who qualify the physical and written test in the Technical Efficiency Test will be called for this stage. The written examination will be of 100 marks and to pass it, the candidate will have to score at least 30 marks.
