After completing four matches in the Test series, England have taken a 2–1 lead. Now the fifth and final Test is to be played from 31 July at the Kennington Oval ground. Remembering the Manchester Test, the Indian team was successful in playing a draw thanks to the centuries of Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar. Now England has declared a squad for the final Test, in which he has returned a dreaded fast bowler.
It was worth noting in the Manchester Test that England captain Ben Stokes was seen struggling with pain. On the fourth day of the match, Stokes was seen lameing, it was also difficult for him to walk properly. On the last day of the match, he was having problems in moving the right shoulder. In the Manchester Test, Stokes bowled a total of 34 overs, but in view of the increasing pain and the possibility of injury, the England team has brought back Zamy oven for the fifth match.
Return of dreaded fast bowler
England have refused Jamie Overton for the fifth Test. Overton was part of England’s squad in the first three Tests, but did not find a place in the playing XI. At the same time, oven was dropped from the fourth match squad played in Manchester, but now they have been returned for the final match. The arrival of a more fast bowler is indicating somewhere that oven can find a place in the playing XI and Stokes can be seen bowling very little.
Jamie Overton is a right -handed fast bowler and can bowl at more than 140 continuously. He made his Test debut against New Zealand in June 2022, where he was able to take only 2 wickets in both innings.
