There is big news for students dreaming of making a career in the field of engineering and architecture. National Testing Agency has released the official notification for JEE Main 2026 Session II. Along with this, the online application process has also started. Interested candidates can apply within the stipulated time limit. Through JEE Main examination one can get admission in prestigious engineering institutes of the country.

When will the exam be held?

JEE Main 2026 Session-2 examination conducted by the National Testing Agency will be conducted in online mode in the month of April. The online application process for NTA JEE Main 2026 Session-2 has started from today. Interested candidates can apply online till 9 pm on 25 February 2026. JEE Main Session-2 examination will be conducted from 02 April to 09 April 2026 in online mode. Admit cards for the exam will be made available to the candidates about 3 days before the exam. The answer key will be released after the completion of the exam, while the result will be declared soon.

How much will the application fee cost?

Candidates applying for NTA JEE Main 2026 Session-2 will have to deposit the examination fee as per the prescribed category.

  • Candidates applying for JEE Main 2026 Session-2 only for Paper-1 (BE/B.Tech) will have to deposit the examination fee as per their category. The application fee for male candidates of general category has been fixed at Rs 1000. Whereas women candidates of General, OBC and EWS category will have to pay a fee of Rs 800. Apart from this, the application fee for male and female candidates of SC and ST category has been fixed at Rs 500. Candidates can pay the examination fee through debit card, credit card, net banking or e-challan.
  • Candidates who wish to apply for Paper-1 (BE/B.Tech) as well as Paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) will have to deposit the prescribed combined examination fee for both the papers. For male candidates of General, OBC and EWS categories, this fee has been kept at Rs 2000. Whereas female candidates of the same category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1600. Apart from this, the application fee for both the papers for male and female candidates of SC and ST category has been fixed at Rs 1000. Candidates can deposit this fee through debit card, credit card, net banking or e-challan.

what qualification is required

To apply for JEE Main 2026 Session-2, it is mandatory for the candidate to have passed 12th class. Apart from this, those students can also apply, who are appearing in the 12th examination in 2026. For this examination, the candidate must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) subjects.
Candidates without PCM subjects will not be considered eligible for JEE Main exam.
