The ‘Dream 11’ company has been in discussion after the online gaming bill. A few days after the bill passed, Dream 11 has ended the sponsorship deal with BCCI. According to The Indian Express, a source said that Dream 11 officials have made it clear in front of BCCI CEO Hemang Amin that they will not be able to release the deal. Let us know that this deal started in 2023, which was to be run by 2026, but the online gaming bill has now been made, which has the most hit on those companies in which money is transacted.

Quoting The Indian Express, a BCCI source said, “Some representatives of Dream 11 reached the BCCI office and clarified in front of CEO Hemung Amin that he would not be able to continue the sponsorship deal further. Which means that ‘Dream11’ will not be written on the Jersey of the Asia Cup.

According to another official, there will be no penalty when the deal ends quickly. Because a clause was added to the contract, which says that due to any policy brought by the government, the business of sponsor is affected, then it will not have to pay any additional money to the board.

Let us tell you that Dream 11 started about 18 years ago. It emerged as India’s largest online gaming platform. Its brand value has been estimated at about 8 billion dollars i.e. more than 69 thousand crore rupees. BCCI signed a sponsorship deal of Rs 358 crore with Dream 11 in July 2023.
