Rekha Gupta government of Delhi is going to take a big step towards improving regional mobility. Under inter-state connectivity, Delhi Transport Corporation will now run 50 electric AC buses on 17 routes. These buses will be provided to neighboring states as well as Bihar. This will increase better mobility from major cities and religious places.
In this regard, Transport Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh said that our priority is to strengthen inter-state connectivity. Besides, smooth and safe travel to major religious places has to be ensured for the devotees. Keeping in view the needs of Purvanchali community, special attention is also being given to Delhi-Bihar route.
What will be special in this service?
50 electric AC buses will be included in the DTC inter-state bus service, its main objective is to save the environment. Along with UP, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and Bihar will also be connected. A total of 17 such routes have been identified. This service will be available at affordable rates from 250 km to 300 km from the capital. Especially the people traveling to Purvanchal and Bihar will get a lot of convenience.

Let us tell you here that DTC’s inter-state bus service is starting after a long time. Some buses are operating in the first phase, now 50 more buses are being started. Modern facilities have been completely taken care of in these buses. CCTV, GPS, panic button and comfortable seats and many other facilities will also be available for the passengers. Their fare will also be quite concessional.
Passengers have heaved a sigh of relief with this step of the Delhi government. Because a large number of people go out and come from Delhi. The number of AC buses is very less and if government buses remain then it will be a big step.
