Today Dubai is counted among the most modern and attractive cities in the world. This city has become the first choice of Indian travelers due to its excellent infrastructure, luxury, employment opportunities and tourist destinations. Whether a person is visiting on holidays or for business purposes, the most important step before traveling to Dubai is to obtain the right visa. This process makes your travel smooth and legal.
The Government of Dubai issues different types of visas according to different requirements. If a person is going for the purpose of traveling then tourist visa is the most suitable option for him. This visa is issued for a period of 30 or 90 days. At the same time, those attending business meetings or conferences require a business visa, the duration of which is decided according to the purpose of the visit. Additionally, travelers who have a layover in Dubai during a flight to another country are granted a transit visa, which is usually valid for 48 to 96 hours. Family visas are available for people visiting family or planning a long-term stay.
visa application process
The process of obtaining a Dubai visa is simple, but it is important to complete each phase correctly. First of all the visa type is chosen according to the purpose of travel. After that the online application is filled through the official website or authorized agencies like VFS Global, Emirates or Etihad Airways. Necessary documents have to be uploaded along with the application, which include passport with six months validity, recent photograph with white background, copy of flight ticket, hotel booking or residence proof, bank statement and receipt of visa fee payment.
Visa fee depends on the duration of the visa. A 30 day tourist visa is generally available for Rs 6 to 7 thousand, while a 90 day visa can cost Rs 15 to 18 thousand. After submitting the application, a tracking number is received, through which the status of the application can be seen online. In most cases the visa is issued within three to five working days.
Flight tickets and travel precautions
It is not necessary to book flight tickets in advance when applying for a Dubai visa, but a confirmed ticket may be required in certain circumstances. Direct flights are available from India to Dubai from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Travelers usually enter via Dubai International Airport (DXB) or Al Maktoum Airport (DWC).
Leave Dubai before the visa expires
During travel, ensure that you leave Dubai before the visa expires. Overstaying your visa may result in fines or a ban on future travel. Additionally, it makes sense to have travel insurance as many airlines are now considering it mandatory. All information given at the time of application must exactly match your passport, otherwise the visa may be rejected.
