Dummy students found in 15 CBSE schools from Delhi to Bengal, strong disturbances in 11th-12th

The Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE has tightened the grip on the major disturbances across the country. In 7 states and union territories like Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal, 15 schools were suddenly raided. In this action, ‘dummy students’ were found in many schools. Actually, these were students whose names are written in school, but they never attend class. These students were given admission in the school only to take the board examination, which is clearly a violation of the rules. Let’s know what is the whole matter?

What is the game of ‘Dummy Student’?

In its investigation, CBSE saw in many schools that the number of students in the 11th and 12th grade is far more than the 9th and 10th. It was suspected that there is some wrongdoing in schools. Investigation revealed that some schools have written the names of the students in a fake way. These students do not study in school nor do they go to class. Their purpose is only to pass the board examination. Many times the schools do this with coaching centers, so that students can focus on coaching and maintain a false record of school presence. This is not only harmful for education, but also playing with the future of students.

How did the action take?

CBSE detected this disturbance by resorting to technology. Data Analysis showed that the nomination figures in which schools are incorrect. After this, 15 teams suddenly raided all schools together. Each team consisted of an officer of CBSE and a school principal. It was ensured that no school was already aware so that the truth could be revealed.

What was found in the investigation?

  • More enrollment: The number of students in the 11th and 12th was more than the rules, which is against the rules.
  • Lack of studies and facilities: Many schools did not have the right classroom, teacher and study atmosphere.
  • Fake students: In many places, such students were found, whose name was in the register, but they never came to school.
  • Record disturbances: A big difference was found in the records and reality of schools.

Strict attitude of CBSE

CBSE has made it clear that strict action will be taken if the disturbances are found after the report. The board says that children should get good and honest education. If a school breaks or frauds, he will not be spared.
