Suzuki has finally entered the Indian electric two-wheeler market. The company has launched its new Suzuki e-Access electric scooter, whose ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 1.88 lakh. With this launch, now the electric scooter segment is no longer dominated by only startup companies, but a trusted company like Suzuki has also entered the field. Suzuki e-Access directly competes with India’s most popular premium electric scooter Ather 450 Apex. In such a situation, the question arises that which of the two scooters is better.

How much is the difference in price?

  • Talking about price, Suzuki e-Access and Ather 450 Apex come in almost the same range. The ex-showroom price of Ather 450 Apex is Rs 1,89,946, while Suzuki e-Access is available for Rs 1,88,490. That means the price difference between the two is only Rs 1,456. With such a small margin, the customer has to decide whether he wants better performance or a balanced ride with a trusted brand.

Battery, range and speed comparison

  • Suzuki e-Access has a 3.07 kWh battery, which gives a range of about 95 kilometers on a single charge. Its top speed is 71 km per hour, which is considered better for daily use. On the other hand, Ather 450 Apex has a larger battery of 3.7 kWh, which claims to give a range of about 157 kilometers. Its top speed goes up to 100 kmph, making it more fast and sporty.

Who is ahead in power and performance?

  • In terms of performance, Ather 450 Apex is clearly ahead. This scooter gives power of 9.38 bhp and torque of 26 Nm, while Suzuki e-Access generates power of 5.49 bhp and torque of 15 Nm. The acceleration and overall ride experience of the Ather is more powerful, whereas the Suzuki e-Access focuses on a comfortable and smooth ride.

After all, which scooter is the best?

  • If you want more range, faster speed and sporty performance, then Ather 450 Apex proves to be a better option. At the same time, if you want a premium electric scooter with Suzuki’s trusted name and balanced performance, then Suzuki e-Access is also a good option.
