Earthquake tremors were felt near Myanmar’s capital Nepeita at 2.50 pm, which was at a depth of 10 km. However, there is no news due to the latest shocks or any casualties. The latest earthquake in Nipita occurred when officials are engaged in repairing damaged roads, while in most parts of the city, electricity, phones and internet services are closed.
On Friday (March 28, 2025) in Myanmar, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred and a 6.4 magnitude earthquake occurred exactly 11 minutes later, causing heavy havoc. In this accident, buildings, bridges, historical structures, roads and other public infrastructure suffered heavy damage. Mandalay, the second largest city in Myanmar, was the center of destruction.
If the latest official figures are to be believed, at least 1,002 people have been killed and more than 2,300 people have been injured. Rescuers are working to remove bodies from the rubble.
