Earthquake in Afghanistan, Myanmar Today: Today (May 23-24 May 2025), a strong tremor of earthquake has been felt in Myanmar’s midnight. Its intensity on the Richter scale has been measured 4.0. The earthquake came down about 10 km below the ground. It is considered a light to moderate earthquake. The effect of this earthquake was felt in Myanmar and some parts around it. After the earthquake, people came out of their homes. However, there is no news of loss of life and property so far.
The National Earthquake Science Center (NCS) said that the earthquake was felt in Myanmar at midnight at midnight at 12:28 pm, after which people came into panic. Earthquakes keep coming in Myanmar. NCS said that the situation is being monitored by the officials concerned and information will be shared with people on any new update or shock. People have been appealed to be vigilant and safe.

Strong earthquake also occurred in Afghanistan
Today (Saturday 24 May, 2025), the earthquake has been felt in Afghanistan at 2.44 pm on the night of 2.44 pm. Its intensity on the Richter scale has been measured at 4.2. The center of this earthquake was located at a depth of about 134 kilometers from the Earth’s surface. The earthquake was felt in the northern areas of Afghanistan. No loss of life or property has been confirmed so far.

What to do when an earthquake occurs?
- Stay calm and do not panic.
- If inside the house, sit under the table or strong furniture.
- Cover the head and neck with hands.
- If you are out, stay in the open space- away from buildings, trees and electric poles.
- Stay where you are till the earthquake stops.
- After the earthquake, keep taking information from radio/TV.
What not to do when an earthquake occurs?
- Do not use the lift at all.
- Do not stand near the window, glass or walls.
- Do not run down the stairs suddenly, especially if on the upper floor.
- Do not burn matches or candles in the event of gas leaks.
- Do not pay attention to rumors- believe only government information.
