Myanmar earthquake: The horrific earthquake in Myanmar on Friday (March 28, 2025) has caused huge devastation. The intensity of this earthquake was measured 7.7, causing many buildings to collapse, injured hundreds of people and the hospital turned into a mass casualty area. The effects of this disaster were felt to Thailand, China and India.

In fact, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred near the city of Sagiing in Myanmar, which was about 260 km from the capital NAPEDO. The earthquake was so severe that 10 people died due to falling mosque in Mandle city, while the number of casualties in other areas is also increasing.

Hospital became a witness for death
According to the AFP report, the 1000 -bed hospital of Myanmar, the capital of Myanmar, was badly damaged due to the earthquake. The name of this hospital is not currently clear, but it is one of the largest hospitals in the city. Due to the large number of injured, the hospital became a “mass casualty area”. Many patients were given treatment on the streets outside. Doctors and nurses said that they are trying to handle the situation, but the situation is very serious.

Earthquake effects in Myanmar:
Many buildings in Mandle and Sagiing are not missing.
The old bridge over the Iravadi river was destroyed.
Many temples and religious places damaged.
Hundreds of people are feared to be trapped.

Shocks felt in Bangkok also
The tremors of this earthquake were felt till North Thailand. Metro services were discontinued in Bangkok. A 30-floor under construction building collapsed in the Chaturchak area, in which 43 people were trapped. The death of two people has been confirmed in Bang Suu district. Video is going viral on social media, in which buildings can be seen moving.

Shocks felt in China and India too
The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 7.9 in China’s Yunnan province. Light tremors were also felt in Kolkata, Manipur and Bangladesh in India.

Eyewitnesses narrated scary stories
According to people living in Myanmar, “It was the most terrible earthquake ever”. A doctor said, “We are trying to handle it, but I am very tired.” At the same time, Duangzai, a resident of Bangkok, said, “I was sleeping at home and suddenly felt a loud shock, I immediately ran away.”
